The line “The Great Image has no form” is from Chapter 41 of Laozi’s Tao Te Ching. “The Great Square has no corners, the Great Vessel is never complete, the Great Sound cannot be heard, and the Great Image has no form”.

The concept of “The Great Image has no form” leads out the spirit of abstract art. The form with no form, the image with no image presents the expression and the dialectical of the Taiwanese abstraction artists’ mind. In the exhibition we invited three generation of the abstraction artists. They present the discourse between the east and the west, share the affection in the lyric abstraction forms and colors, experience the individual mind behind all the temporary forms and colors
